Kazi Iqbal has been elected as the president of Bangladesh Writers’ Camp, while Shafi Rahman has been appointed as the general secretary. A 21-member central executive committee was formed after the concluding session of the two-day national conference of the Writers’ Camp today, Saturday. At the beginning of the first session, the representatives present discussed the report of the general secretary. Barkat Ali, Ajit Roy, Abidul Islam, Barkat Ullah, Minhaj Ahmed, Humayun Kabir, Nazmul Alam, Faizul Hakim, Khaled Uddin, Satyajit Acharya and representatives from different parts of the country participated in the discussion.

After the discussion, the draft proposal of the central committee and detailed discussion on it were held. Then the executive committee was formed. The conference ended with a cultural program led by Barsha Biswas and Hemanta Das.
